Rickie Fowler had a tough third round Saturday in the Players Championship — in part because of a brief encounter with someone near the teeing area near the 16th hole at TPC Sawgrass.
The trouble came when Fowler heard a noise from someone before backing off from the tee.
That led Fowler’s caddie, Ricky Romano, to tell the person, “Sir, just hold the cameras for me, please… [I] need all the cameras on silent.”

It’s unclear whether the person was a fan or a credentialed photographer at the tournament in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
Fowler, 35, then approached the tee again and although his drive hit the fairway, he was clearly displeased, as he looked over in the same direction, pointed, took several steps toward the crowd, and yelled, “You!”
His caddie, Romano, apparently reprimanded the person, again, saying, “Come on, I just said something.”

Fowler, who did not speak to the media after the round, followed by hitting his next shot into the water, en route to a double bogey on the hole.
He ended up shooting a 76 on the day, four-over par, as he slipped down the leaderboard.
