Kate Middleton has eased herself back to work following weeks of post-surgery recovery behind closed doors, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
The Princess of Wales, 42, was first reported to dip her toes into work at the start of February, when sources close to the royal said she was “working from bed” to prepare for her return to official duties.
Now, it appears as though Middleton is doing more than just that — she’s shifting all of her focus on her early years project to improve the lives of newborn babies.

The mom of three has been very hands-on with the campaign for the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood’s (RFCEC) Shaping Us project, which has yielded “overwhelmingly positive” results of the study she kickstarted, the palace added.
The princess launched the project in January, with the aim of it highlighting the importance of early years development in children.
It’s been said that the campaign has been her “life’s work” during her recovery process.
“The Princess has been kept updated throughout the process,” a palace spokesperson told the Telegraph.
But the royal’s recovery has not all been smooth-sailing.
In her absence from public life, several conspiracy theories have taken root, which only intensified after she posted a heavily edited UK Mother’s Day image that received a “kill notice” from major press agencies.
And earlier this week, three staffers at the London Clinic — the private hospital where Middleton underwent surgery and recovered for two weeks — were placed under investigation over an alleged data breach involving the princess.

The CEO of the London Clinic said the hospital would take all “regulatory and disciplinary steps” as three staffers were under investigation for the alleged breach.
It’s believed that Middleton has been made aware of the situation.
She currently remains at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, where she was recently spotted hitting up a local farm shop with William.

Since news of Middleton’s health woes came to light, Kensington Palace has contacted Middleton’s 30 charities to postpone and reschedule engagements.
The princess is not expected to return to her public duties until after Easter, which falls on March 31, 2024.
