Lane Kiffin has probably had better Sundays.
The Ole Miss football coach, 48, capped off his weekend by watching his NCAA Tournament bracket get partially wrecked by an Alabama victory over the twelfth-seeded Grand Canyon, with girlfriend Sally Rychlak rubbing salt in the wound.
Kiffin originally predicted a Round of 32 showdown between No. 4 Alabama and Grand Canyon, proudly showing off a photo of his bracket on X that featured the Antelopes advancing to the Sweet 16 to face top-seed North Carolina.

“Grand Canyon Baby!!” Kiffin exclaimed to his followers Sunday.
Unfortunately for Kiffin, Grand Canyon lost to Alabama in a March Madness thriller, 72-61, and Rychlak quipped the college football coach was to blame.
“Way to jinx it,” she posted Sunday on X.
Alabama will face North Carolina on Thursday.

Kiffin at least has one of his former schools to rely on.
When asked by an X user, “Where you for Tennessee going?” Kiffin replied, “Final 4.”
No. 2 Tennessee narrowly escaped the Round of 32 with a 62-58 win over the seventh-seeded University of Texas.
The Volunteers will next play Friday against No. 3 Creighton.
Kiffin coached Tennessee in 2009 but controversially left for USC after going 7-6 in his lone season.

It remains to be seen if Rychlak will be standing by for potential chirps should Kiffin’s bracket take another hit this week.
The couple has been dating since at least February 2023, according to Ryclak’s X page, with Kiffin posting a rare photo of the pair over the summer in honor of National Girlfriend Day.
Kiffin and wife Layla announced they were divorcing in 2016.
They co-parent three kids: daughters Landry and Presley and son Knox.
