Princess Eugenie turns 34 on Saturday, however, the 11th in line to the British throne would reportedly prefer not to blow out her birthday candles with her disgraced father, Prince Andrew, around.
According to royal expert Angela Levin, Eugenie is “embarrassed to celebrate” the big day with the Duke of York, 64, amid allegations of his misconduct.
Andrew’s association with dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has caused massive waves in the last few years, with the late Queen Elizabeth even stripping him of his royal and military titles in 2022.
Eugenie is hoping to commemorate the milestone with just her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their two young kids, August and Ernest, at their home in Portugal.
Levin told The Sun Friday that she “maybe feels she wants to get away” from her father’s negative press.

“I don’t know if Eugenie would have sat down with her father and had a chat to maintain a relationship after the scandal,” Levin explained.
“She’s moved to Portugal. I know she wanted to get away from London and maybe she feels she wants to get away from the scandal,” Levin added of Eugenie distancing herself from England.
“The move could have been to get away from the problems with her dad, but her husband has a very well-paid job out there and she’s extremely happy.”

Brooksbank, 37, and Eugenie married in 2018 and welcomed their children in 2021 and 2023.
She met the marketing executive in 2011 and they moved to Portugal in 2022 when he scored a position working with property developer Michael Meldman’s Discovery Land Company.
Eugenie’s choice to keep her birthday an intimate affair also comes amid her mother, Sarah Ferguson’s recent battle with skin cancer.
The Duchess of York, 64, first announced she was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023.

She underwent a mastectomy, as well as breast reconstructive surgery, shortly after her diagnosis.
In January, it was reported that she was suffering from malignant melanoma after having several moles removed.
Other members of the royal family — such as King Charles and Kate Middleton — are also battling cancer.
The monarch, 75, announced he had the illness in February, while the Princess of Wales, 42, revealed she was sick in a video statement on March 22. Middleton had previously been recovering from an abdominal surgery she had in January.
